 About the project

Peer Education

Washing up at camp

The Woodcraft Folk has been centrally involved with the development of peer education in the youth work and non-formal learning arena. We find peer-led initiatives most successful in empowering and motivating young people to play an active part in the issues which concern them.

To date, our work in this field has been on a local, national and European level. We strongly believe that peer education methods have an important role to play in helping young people to understand the problems and challenges of globalisation and development.

In the implementation of this project it is our intention that young people from both the South and North should be involved at all stages in the planning and delivery of the programme.
